Est. Indianapolis · Craft Brewery & Artisan Bakery
Every loaf tells a story.
Every pint raises one.
At the crossroads of German brewing heritage and Midwestern hospitality, we craft beers and bake breads the old way — slowly, deliberately, and together.
Our Story
Rooted in tradition,
brewed with purpose
Herrmann Brewthers Bierwerks was born from a simple conviction: that the best things in life cannot be rushed. Our brewery honors the German brewing traditions brought to Indianapolis generations ago, while our bakery applies the same reverence to every sourdough starter and croissant.
We are neighbors first. Our doors open to anyone looking for a honest pint, a warm slice of freshly baked bread, or a quiet corner to think. The recipes change with the seasons, but the welcome never does.

Crisp, golden, and refreshingly hoppy with a clean finish. Our flagship — the beer that started it all.
Year-RoundIronworker's Stout
Robust Porter · 6.2% ABV
Dark as midnight with notes of espresso, dark chocolate, and a hint of roasted malt. Built for long nights.
Year-RoundHerrmann's Wheat
Hefeweizen · 5.1% ABV
Cloudy, banana-kissed, and gently spiced with clove. A Bavarian classic poured the way it should be.

Vienna Lager · 5.4% ABV
Caramel sweetness balanced by a dry, bready finish. Brewed for harvest season and loved year-round.
SeasonalCircuit Ridge IPA
American IPA · 6.8% ABV
Bold citrus and pine from generous hop additions, with just enough backbone to keep it drinkable.
RotatingSourdough Brown Ale
Specialty Ale · 5.0% ABV
A collaboration between our brewery and bakery — brewed with spent grain from our morning bake. Earthy and complex.
